Precautions

  1. Choose and use the correct product type, to ensure no blow outs and successful results.
  2. Before starting any job always wear safety glasses, dust mask, and rubber gloves.
  3. Do not look into filled holes over stand over them at any time, if blow outs occur may cause injury.
  4. Do not leave excess product in the bucket.
  5. Cover holes with a tarp to avoid direct sunlight.
  6. When mixing, if the product begins to steam in the bucket, add some water to dilute it.
  7. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  8. Store in cool, dry place.

1. Drill

  1. Ensure you have your safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and equipment in place first.
  2. Drill holes using a core drill, rock drill or substitute using 1.50″ diameter drill bit.
  3. The hole diameter drilled should be 1.50″.
  4. Holes to be drilled 8 to 16 inches apart. For harder rock and reinforced concrete, hole spacing should be 8 inches apart.
  5. Drill between 80 to 90% of the depth.
  6. Ecobust must have free space to expand into. Create a series of empty holes if required.
  7. For specific drill patterns refer to drill guide and / or contact us.

2. Mix

  1. Select the correct product type for your specific temperature range. Refer to chart below.
    Ensure correct Ecobust type used for maximum performance: Type 1 - 20C to 30C (68F to 95F), Type 2 - 10C to 25C (50F to 77F), Type 3 - 5C to 15C (41F to 59F), Type 4 - -8C to 5C (23F to 41F).
Ensure correct product type used for maximum performance.
  2. Pour 1.5 liters of common cold water in a bucket and gradually add one bag (5Kg) of product.
Do not mix more than 2 bags (10Kg) at a time.
  3. Mix well, using a mixing paddle, until the powder is completely dissolved in water into a slurry.

3. Pour

  1. After drilling minimize water and residue left behind in the holes.
  2. Within 10 minutes of mixing, pour the product into the holes, filling within 1 inch from the top.
  3. Gradually pour the mixture into the holes to ensure no air gaps are trapped within. Poke a stick or rod down the hole if necessary.
  4. Be sure to empty the bucket, do not leave surplus mixture.
  5. Cover the holes with a tarp after they have been filled. Do not look into the holes.
  6. Keep product away from direct sunlight.
  7. For the best results allow product to set for 24 hours (product continues to expand up to 48 hours).
